Cognio DesignOps 1.0.0 Release Notes

Introduction

This is the initial 1.0.0 release of Cognio DesignOps and C20 Firmware

New Features

The core Cognio DesignOps features have been implemented:

  • Independent Spaces
  • Managed Device Creation

Not Yet Implemented Features

The following features have not yet been implemented. They will be added in an upcoming Cognio DesignOps release.

  • C20 Firmware
  • No USB-C
  • No Playback and Recording Modules
  • No AEC
  • No 96k

  • No Static IP (DHCP or Link Local Only)

  • DesignOps

  • No Site or Space level Firmware Updating (currently firmware updating must be done one device at a time)
  • No Firmware Out of Date Detection (must manually compare version numbers)
  • Single Device per Space
  • No Frames
  • Some incomplete documentation sections

Firmware Upgrade Instructions

  1. Launch Cognio DesignOps
  2. Add the Paired Device to be updated to a Space. This can be a real design or simply a blank space for the purpose of updating.
  3. With the PairDevice selected, view the Device Properties in the Modifier Panel.
  4. Click the Update Firmware button, navigate to the firmware you wish to use (the default location is C:\Program Files\Symetrix\Cognio DesignOps\Firmware) and click Open.
  5. The update will commence taking only a few seconds to transfer the file and register the update has completed. After this, the device will reboot and complete the update. This may take up to 3 minutes.
