Main Views

There are three main views within the Cognio software environment; Site View, Control Panel View, and Space View. Each of these areas offer differing perspectives and tools to assist in designing and programming AVC systems. The Site View is at the upper left of the interface. The software defaults to making this active when opened and the primary inteface canvas will be blank. Site view shows all the Spaces that comprise a site design. Populate the interface canvas by dragging and dropping Blank Spaces at the top of the left hand menu column. or by importing Spaces that have been previously created and saved. Spaces represent all the signal processing, channels, and control aspects of a room, zone, or other environment. The next tab to the right is All Control Panel Groups. Opening this provides a viewer for existing Control Panels. When starting a new project, this will be blank. To start and view a new Control Panel Group, Spaces must first be present in the interface. In a Space inteface block, on the right hand side is displayed the item: + Add a Control Panel. Clicking on the item, eiths shows a list of existing Control Panel Gropus, or opens a new Control Panel Group workspace in the interface. From here control screens can be created. To start and view signal paths, Spaces must first be present in the interface. At the top left of Space interface block is the name of the space. With a new project this deafults to- Space 1. Names can be changed by using the Properties Panel which is opened by clicking on the 3 bars in the upper right of the interface. Clicking on the name of the Space, opens a grid workspace in the interface. From here various procesing modules can be dragged and dropped on to the grid.
