Dante Domain Manager and Dante Director are Audinate's network management platforms for securing, monitoring, and controlling Dante networks. Both extend Dante beyond a single subnet and add enterprise-grade security and oversight — Dante Domain Manager as on-premises server software, and Dante Director as a cloud-based service.

Dante Domain Manager

Dante Domain Manager (DDM) is on-premises server software for managing Dante networks within an organization.

  • Security and access control — user authentication with role-based permissions, integrated with LDAP / Active Directory, so staff can view and change only the settings they need.
  • Logical domains — organize devices into independent groups, each with its own operational view.
  • Routing across subnets — expand Dante networks across subnet boundaries with no change in performance.

Dante Director

Dante Director is a cloud-based (SaaS) platform for managing, monitoring, and controlling Dante networks across distributed installations, with no on-premises server to set up. It is accessed through a web-based dashboard from anywhere with an internet connection.

  • Remote operations — monitor network status, update device subscriptions, and control routing from any location.
  • Device organization — create logical device groups and hierarchical site and room structures to manage thousands of devices across campuses or globally.
  • Security — user authentication and role-based restrictions, device and media encryption management, and Single Sign-On (SSO) in higher tiers.
